Securities Transactions
Securities transactions (OST) are events that allow the holder of a security to receive a benefit or participate in a reorganization of the issuing company.
During an OST, the DC/BR informs its members of any event decided by the issuer that affects the characteristics of the security and the associated rights. It credits, as applicable, cash, securities, coupons, or rights based on their balances at the closing of the registers.
The credited affiliates then present the securities, coupons, or rights detached in their favor for payment to their SGI via a simple transfer and receive, depending on the nature of the OST, either a delivery of securities or a cash payment in return.
