WHO SUPERVISES THE DC/BR?
The oversight of the activities of the DC/BR is carried out by the Financial Markets Authority of WAEMU (AMF-UMOA).
The Central Depositary/Settlement Bank is responsible for the custody and circulation of dematerialized securities in the WAMU zone. It acts on behalf of both issuers and intermediaries. It acts as a settlement bank and may hold cash balances on behalf of traders.
